Passive Solar Heating

Passive solar heating is direct heating of an object the Sun’s rays. Greenhouses are an example of passive solar heating. Solar radiation passes through the glass is used by the plants for photosynthesis. But the some of the sunlight is converted to heat and so the inside of the greenhouse automatically warms up. Solariums are another example of this.

Passive Solar Home Design

Solar heating begins at home and can be incorporated into a new house at little or no extra cost. By using the differences between the high summer sun compared with the low winter sun, your house can be kept warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
